This is the first post about the Aalto Lab Mexico water project. We aim to help to solve water related issues in rural mayan community located in Calakmul.
At the moment we are still trying to understand the big picture about water related problems in the community. Last wednesday we had a session with Jussi Alaputto. He has been working with water related issues in developing countries. He explained us about issues affecting to local water systems. He also showed us some different solutions for solving local water problems.
Currently we are also analyzing water samples from the site. Trough this we can get tangible information about issues affecting to water. We are also finalizing our project plan for next six weeks. However there are still a lot of ambiguity related to the project. I guess that the next post will be much more concrete and we’ll have a path to follow.
